Easter Egg Hunt

After church, Madeline took a long nap while the Easter Bunny hopped around downstairs and dropped a few eggs here and there.

WOW - she was sooo good at finding the eggs! She didn't walk much while she was hunting, probably becuase she has more speed when she crawls. The church we go to had set up an Easter egg hunt as well, but it was just too wet outside to let her participate in that today. Next year - they better watch out for this girl! She is going to go after those eggs!

After she picked them all up, she sat down and played with them a little. Yellow was her favorite. She "loved" the yellow one with a big hug.

April 24th, 2011 - EASTER!

YAY for Easter!!! So, I decided that Madeline is too young to have candy in her Easter basket - duh, she's only one! So, Jake decided he was going to order her some cake pops for her Easter Basket. Madeline really liked them (and so did I). Her basket didn't have too much else... a spring themed Board Book, Side walk chalk, a bubble wand, and a plastic faucet cover.

April 23rd, 2011 - Farmers Market

In case you didn't know, Madeline came down with hives earlier this week. It was the most terrible looking thing I have ever seen, but Madeline acted fine like nothing was wrong. It was really odd. The hives started like mosquito bites (puffy, pink welts). They spread all over her legs and started clustering. Then they started spreading everywhere! They eventually started bruising - her thighs were purple, parts of her arms... very scarey looking. She is almost all healed now, but the doctor said the sun will help her. Luckily, it was 70 and sunny today so we took her to the downtown park. Hopefully the hives will be all of the way gone tomorrow.

March 30th 2011

Madeline's first birthday.

Our special girl's fantastic day started with a room full of balloons, later we went to Chuck E. Cheese, and then we did cake and presents. I was so happy to take the day off to spend the time with her.

I can't believe it's been a year. It's gone by so fast and I can't imagine my life without her. She is learning something new every day, always amazing me with her new tricks. Her first year of life has been such a blessing, and being her mother is more amazing than I could have ever imagined. I'm so looking forward to what her second year of life brings. I will never be able to get enough of this child!
