A Great Saturday

A beautiful day with my favorite girl. And Bama won. Happiness all around.

First Veggie...

Peas!! She didn't like them too much. It's been a week since I took this picture and I've given them to her every night but they aren't growing on her one bit! Tomorrow I'm going to try apple or banana.

A relaxing Saturday

Madeline, her Grandpaw and her Great Grandma

I'm kicking myself for not bringing my good camera to New Orleans. All I brought was a tiny camera/video recorder that doesn't have a flash and takes very shaky pictures. Ugh! Madeline got to meet so many wonderful family members, and of course got to spend more time with her Grandpaw! She went to bed early every night we were there because of all of the commotion and love surrounding her from the moment she awoke in the morning to when her sleepy eyes shut in the evenings. I guess there's only so many kisses you can take before you completely poop out! I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again over the holidays. Please save up lots of kisses for Madeline... only 3 months away! Can't wait!

Visitors!

Madeline got to meet her Great Aunt Elaine and Great Uncle Steve, and spend time with her Great Grand-dad and his beautiful wife, Hazel (Madeline first met them over the fourth of July weekend in St Simons).

Madeline is just starting to get into that clingy-seperation anxiety phase, but I think she knows when it's family so it didn't take her very long to warm up!

Can you guess who took these pictures?

August 15th - Happy Birthday, Daddy.

She totally wanted to dig in! I just know she is going to have a ball on her first birthday, when she finally gets to eat cake!

Ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins. Yuuuummmmy!

Completely mezmerized by the candles, and no, her leg is not on fire or close to the flame.

Giving her daddy his birthday card.

Madeline and I love our Jake so much and don't know what we would ever do without him. For both Madeline and I, our days start and end with kisses from this handsome man. He works all day to provide for us (I work full time too, but his job is a helluva lot more laborous than mine) and then he comes home to take care of us and fix things around the house (broken or not, haha). He tells us at least once a day how beautiful we are. Jake, we love you and hope you had a great birthday.

August 14th

I looove this dress. Madeline is my real life baby-doll.

She always crosses her ankles!

First Solid Food

On August 8th, Madeline got her first taste of rice cereal. She didn't eat very much, but she definitely liked her spoon.
