Happy Birthday Great Grandma!

Happy Birthday to one of the most amazing, loving, brave women I know - my grandma.

Grandma, Madeline is going to be head over heels for you when she meets you! I've been telling her what an incredible, magical and beautiful woman you are. She is so excited to climb that big oak tree in the back yard and dress up in those old prom dresses with her big girl cousins for "tea parties." When I got home from work today and told her we were going to make a video message for you, she was all smiles and chubby cheeks... see for yourself. We love you soooo much!

Madeline's Baby Quilt

When I was little, granny used to have her friends over all of the time to drink coffee, play rummy, and quilt. There was always a new huge quilt they would be working on, and sometimes they would let me help! So much work and planning went to these quilts - they are all beautiful and whenever I see my baby quilt or one of my siblings' quilts, it brings back sweet memories of granny. :)

So, I can't even describe how happy I was to get this in the mail.

My Nanny - Madeline's Great Aunt Wanda - made her this beautiful baby quilt. I'm in love with it and so touched that Nanny made this for my baby. Thank you thank you thank you, from the bottom of my heart. I can't wait to see you again so Madeline can meet and love on her Aunt Wanda.

Roses Lake

We had so much fun this weekend in Eastern Washington with our good friends - Kelsey & Kirk and their family. Their cabin out there is absolutely beautiful and we had such a good time relaxing in that sunshine!

Happy Fathers Day!

Happy Father's Day

“Certain is it that there is no kind of affection so purely angelic as of a father to a daughter. In love to our wives there is desire; to our sons, ambition; but to our daughters there is something which there are no words to express.”
-Joseph Addison

Jake - you are such an amazing father and husband. We love you sooooo much!

Attention Washington state drivers

Between 5 and 6pm, you may encounter a very impatient woman in a Blue Jeep Grand Cherokee. She is just trying to get home as fast as possible so she can snuggle her little angel... I mean, look at that face. Do you blame her?

Thank you

Returning to work this week has been difficult, but getting pictures of Madeline throughout the day really really helps!!!! Amanda, thank you sooooo much for sending me pictures. It's nothing in comparison to snuggling her in person, but it's a fix that immediately warms my heart and helps me out until I get home!
The handsome little man in some of the pictures is Andrew, Amanda's 3 month old son.
